Abstract: Water pumping to small communities and irrigation systems for agriculture has been gaining ground and becoming a reality in several regions of Brazil. In this work the theoretical calculation of the power for a photovoltaic pumping system required to raise 3,500 L of water at a total manometric height of 22 m was carried out. With these data it was simulated application of the same for the production of coriander. For the hydraulic power in question a power of 173 Wp is required. With this power of the photovoltaic system it would be possible to produce 1,800 kg of coriander and obtain an income of R$ 2,700.00. Abstract: The purpose of this article is to use a series of wind velocity data () measured in the coast of
Ceara state at a height of 100 m during 2016, in order to estimate the parameters of the Weibull
probability distribution function, shape factor (𝐤) and scale factor (𝒄), using the following methods:
graphical (MG), empirical of Justus (MEJ) and empirical of Lysen (MEL), standard factor of energy
(MFPE), maximum likelihood (MMV) and modified maximum likelihood (MMVM). Results of each
method are compared using evaluation indicators such as relative percentage errors, mean absolute
percentage, mean percentage error, mean root error root and error root relative mean square. Afterwards,
wind resource characteristics are evaluated: probability density of , monthly capacity factor (FC),
estimated monthly energy. The best method for Ceara coast is MMV, due to three indicators: RPE, RMSE
and RRMSE, with values of -0.0012, 2.8e-03 and 5.83, respectively, with the values of 𝐤 and 𝒄 for this
method, 2.6587 and 8.8664, respectively. Considering a wind class speed of 8.5 m/s, a 2 MW Harvester
turbine has an estimated annual electricity generation of 10,865 GWh and a FC of 60.98%; an Enercon 2

Abstract: The concern about fossil fuel dependency and its environmental impacts is leading to a worldwide energy matrix tendency of diversification using renewable sources with less environmental impacts. The present research presents a financial feasibility study of the implantation of hybrid wind-photovoltaic plants (PHEFV) to offset the consumption of residential electric energy for the conditions found in the Metropolitan Region of Fortaleza (RMF), CE. The area under study has average annual wind speed of 4,28 m/s and annual irradiation average of 5,33 kWh/m². The software HOMER Pro is used to determine the best hybrid wind-photovoltaic energy plant for a residential load profile, where demand ranges from 3.3 kWh/d to 33.3 kWh/d. Collected data of irradiation and wind speed are used as energetic resources to the photovoltaic modules and wind turbines. The data and costs of these generation components were obtained from Brazilian companies. For demands between 6.6 kWh/day and 33.3 kWh/day, the optimal way in terms of the net present cost to supply the load is with the use of photovoltaic plants. Abstract: In this paper, a genetic algorithm (GA) is used to estimate the photovoltaic (PV) potential of a PV distributed generation (DG) with an installed power of 1.5 kWp, connected to the electric power distribution network, in northeastern Brazil, more specifically in Fortaleza, Ceará. Environmental data were collected from global irradiance and ambient temperature in the vicinity of the PV DG, in addition to data of the instantaneous power of the PV DG installed in the urban area of Fortaleza. The average daily power for days with favorable conditions, high irradiation (6.23 kWh/m²), and unfavorable conditions, low irradiation (3.99 kWh/m²) was estimated with the GA, thus, it is possible to estimate the generation of electricity through PV DG, with percentage errors in this estimate of -1.90% and 11.86%, respectively.2019-01-01T00:00:00Z
