Sra. Dalloway e a construção do padrão narrativo do texto cinematográfico

Abstract

This article discusses some aspects of the construction of Virginia Woolf’s novel Mrs. Dalloway (1925) and its translation to the cinematographic text Mrs. Dalloway by the Dutch director Marleen Gorris (1997). The main objective is to investigate the way the director deals with the construction of the point of view and presents Woolf’s literary universe to spectators. In order to do so, it will be presented theoretical points on the modern novel to contextualize the narrative of the writer and to delineate characteristics of its construction and, then, it will be observed procedures of translation of the source text to the context of the cinema.
