| Abstract in Brazilian Portuguese: | O objetivo deste texto consiste em discutir alguns aspectos presentes na produção da imagem, que interferem na apropriação e na atribuição de sentidos pelos leitores. Com essa finalidade, toma a produção fotojornalística como documento para a análise, de modo a verificar as condições e os processos que sustentam as operações de produção de sentido, acionadas quando se lê uma imagem. |
| Abstract: | The objective of this text consists in discussing some aspects present in the production of the image, that they interfere in me appropriation and in the attribution of senses for readers. With that purpose, it takes the press photography production as document for the analysis, to verify the conditions and the processes that sustain the operations of sense production, worked when it is read an image. |
