Bela, recatada e do lar: uma análise semiolinguistica da matéria da revista Veja

Abstract

This work realizes an analysis of the speech, from concepts and categories theory semiolinguistics proposed by Patrick Charaudeau. The corpus which comprise this analysis consists of the article titled Marcela Temer: pretty, demure and “housewife”, published in Veja magazine. This study aims toidentify the subjects participated in the analyzed communication act, to emphasize the elements of this contract and describe the discursive gender configuration of which the corpus part, as well as the sociodiscursive imaginary about the identity and women’s roles disseminated by magazine. The analysis has shown that Veja constructs a beliefbased knowledge based on the point of view of the newscaster and at the same time establishes and disseminates ideal feminine roles and behaviors.
