| Abstract in Brazilian Portuguese: | Este trabalho busca apresentar de forma sucinta e atualizada os dados referentes à geração de energia eólica no mundo, no Brasil e no Ceará. A fonte eólica continua a desempenhar um papel protagonista em meio às fontes alternativas, devido aos custos cada vez mais reduzidos nos últimos anos, chegando a atingir US$ 14 por MW. No Brasil, o Plano Decenal de Expansão da Energia, espera chegar, em 2023, com 11,4% de participação na matriz elétrica nacional, totalizando 22,4 GW. No Ceará, a estimativa é de que nos próximos anos, a matriz elétrica seja 50% de energia proveniente de parques eólicos. A falta de recursos naturais para exploração de outras fontes elétricas, juntamente com o potencial eólico do Estado, tem transformado a matriz elétrica do Ceará e proporcionado desenvolvimento econômico à região. |
| Abstract: | This study aims to present succinctly and update data related to wind power generation in the world, Brazil and Ceará. The wind power continues to play a leading role among the alternative sources, due to increasingly lower costs in recent years, reaching $ 14 per MW. In Brazil, the Plano Decenal de Expansão da Energia is expected to arrive in 2023, with 11.4% of participation in the national energy matrix, totaling 22.4 GW. In Ceará, it is estimated that in the coming years, the energy matrix will have 50% of energy from wind farms. The lack of natural resources for the operation of other electrical sources, along with the wind potential of the state, has transformed the energy matrix of Ceará and proportionate economic development to the region. |
